Welcome all to the Asian Workshop on Polymer Processing 2007.

The Asian Workshop on Polymer Processing 2007 will be held in Hotel Riviera, Daejeon, Korea from 21st to 24th of October, 2007. The workshop is organized by the Japan Society of Polymer Processing (JSPP) and hosted by the Korean Society of Rheology (KSR). This is the first time to arrange the workshop for the specific field of polymer processing between Korea and Japan. The purpose of this workshop is to communicate the experience and to enhance the friendship for the future of Asian network. All the researchers and engineers working in the field of polymer processing, especially working for the companies, are welcome to participate in this workshop.  

AWPP2007 will start on Sunday, October 21, 2007 with registration and welcome reception. Scientific program will start on Monday, October 22 and conclude on Wednesday, October 23, consisting of 2 plenary lectures, 12 keynote lectures and the oral presentations along with poster presentations. For the Japanese participants, the excursion to LG Chemical research center and one of historical place of Baekje Kingdom will be arranged.

 

Located in the center of Korea, Daejeon is one of the largest cities, which is the fifth largest city among South Korea's top six cities, including Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Incheon, and Gwangju. Daejeon is a major junction for train lines and expressways. It is the gateway between Yeongnam province and Honam province. It is an important place where traffic diverges into two major expressways, the Gyungbu Expressway going to the east and the Honam Expressway to the west. It becomes the hub of national traffic both in name and reality, after the rapid transit railway started operation in April, 2004. Daejeon is a city of science and education with Daedeok Science Town and Daejeon Expo Park. Yuseong Hot Springs Resort and Daecheong Dam are the popular tourist attractions.
