1. Introduction

Nowadays, regardless of the debate over the Microsoft Corporation, virtually all-new computers are shipped with some kind of Windows or Microsoft Office products.

Under these circumstances as well as the great effort of the Microsoft Software Development team, using Asian Characters in the Windows environment has became a breeze. However, a lot of people don't realize that they have already had mighty word-processing power under the hood of their computer. They are consistently looking for some inferior and expensive word processors compared to Word 2000, which is also part of Office 2000.

These things happened partially due to lack of this kind of information from any kind of Word manuals, which are mainly written for American users, and partially due to the insufficient manual, which came with the product itself.

Once I was deeply involved in providing multilingual environment in an English version of the computer operating system, which includes Linux, Unix and Windows.

I found that the easiest and most cost efficient method is to do Japanese computing with Windows and Word 2000. I also want to show you how to make Asian PDF files with English Windows.

I will provide whatever skills necessary for the Japanese language learner or businessman who needs to use Japanese. So, If you have any kind of question please let me know, then I will post the solutions as soon as possible.

Especially for IT people who work for a university or company to setup and manage the computer systems to provide Asian characters, I maybe already have solutions for you. If you need any kind of help or tips, please contact me freely.
