Who has enough information of Japanese news and its society
Step 1) Just listen any news video from news sites of Chapter 3.
Step 2) listening while reading the translated script from Jim breen's
Step 3) Studying new vocabulary and try to read again the news by yourself without listening.
Now you learned how to read Kanji. If you are not so sure about the right pronunciations of any part of the news ,then please repeat again step 2).
Step 4) Listening the news while reading the original news script.
At This stage try to trace the script while listening. This is really difficult, but if you try to synchronize the speed of your reading and the speed of news's anchor's speaking, it will pay off. Your reading speed will increase dramatically.
Even though you would fail to trace the script, please don't feel bad. Everyone will experience this kind of frustration. Just take easy and take time~!
Who needs pre-information about Japanese society and its current news before listening to the Japanese News.
Step 1) Listening to the NHK English news.
This step will give you some idea of that's going on in Japan.
Step 2) Try to find a similar news from other Japanese news site.
Step 3) You can follow the Step 1) - Step4) from Method 1.
I usually watch news once, and then read the translated script while listening again to the news. After this, I study with the translated script. And then, one more time watching video news clip while I trace the non-translated script with the speed of newscaster's reading. This method helps me to learn new KANGI very quickly and I can train my eyes to trace the Japanese sentences with speed and accuracy.
