Center for Molecular Catalysis

To encourage joint research activities of universities and industries, an industrial affiliates program is being planned between CMC and several industrial institutes. This will encompass the on-going individual academy-industry cooperative researches. CMC encourages the outcomes of cooperative research to be patented and industrialized. For the present, international collaborative researches are being carried out individually. CMC plans to set up scholar-exchange programs with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Kyushu University, the Materials and Structures Laboratory at Tokyo Institute of Technology of Japan, the State Key Laboratory for Physical Chemistry of Solid Surfaces at Xiamen University of China, and so on. CMC also plans to establish branch laboratories in foreign institutes. CMC encourages and supports the affiliated scientists to participate in international conferences to catch up with the rapidly evolving research trend in the broad area of molecular catalysis. CMC itself organizes international conferences on molecular catalysis twice a year.
